What does TRA do?

It compares your qualifications and employment against Australian standards, matching qualifications to the relevant AQF qualification for your nominated occupation. It does not assess for non-migration purposes.

Timing and validity

  • Applications are processed in order of receipt, and times vary by program.
  • Feedback requests: MSA and MPA take 2 working days, JRP takes 5 working days.
  • For certain skilled visas, assessments issued from 1 July 2014 must be no more than three years old at lodgement.

Fees

Not listed on the FAQ page. A$795 for the Migration Skills Assessment and about 120 days, and A$2,020 to A$5,320 for offshore and TSS pathways.

Other points

No IELTS is needed. Do not send original documents, and keep copies. Non-English documents need an English translation from an approved translator. Pay by Visa or MasterCard in Australian dollars.

FAQ

Is there a priority for construction?
