Check your Australian visa details and conditions
On this page
VEVO is the official Home Affairs service. You enter your details on the government site, not here. Have your passport and your visa grant number, TRN or visa evidence number ready.
What can I find out about my visa?
Home Affairs says VEVO shows your visa type, expiry date, must-not-arrive-after date and period of stay, alongside your conditions. The conditions are the part that says what you can and can't do.
VEVO only shows details for a visa that is in effect. For example, it cannot show a bridging visa while your main visa has not yet expired.

Who can use VEVO?
- Visa holders can check their own details and conditions, and send proof of their conditions to others such as an employer, a landlord or a foreign government.
- Organisations, such as employers and education providers, can check visa holders who have given permission. They must register for an ImmiAccount first.
See ImmiAccount vs VEVO if you are unsure which you need.
What VEVO can't do
- Some people who migrated before 1990 and haven't travelled since may have no searchable record. They may need an electronic record of their permanent visa.
- VEVO can't confirm Australian citizenship. Citizens can use a citizenship certificate or an Australian passport.
What if my visa details look wrong?

FAQ
What is VEVO?
It stands for Visa Entitlement Verification Online. Home Affairs describes it as the system that lets visa holders, employers, education providers and other organisations check visa conditions.
Do I need an ImmiAccount to check my own visa?
Home Affairs does not say visa holders need one. Organisations do.
Does VEVO show citizenship?
No. Use a citizenship certificate or an Australian passport.
Where do I find my condition numbers?
In VEVO, your visa grant letter or the myVEVO app. The Home Affairs form for a No Further Stay waiver also lists these as places to check.
