South Australia state nomination (190 and 491)
The ROI is free. The nomination application fee is A$394 for the 190 and for the 491. South Australia's two Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMAs) have been extended to 31 January 2027 while a new five-year statewide DAMA is negotiated.
2026-27 rules in brief
You need a current SkillSelect EOI. The 2026-27 Skilled Occupation List decides eligibility: for example, some management occupations are open only to top-ranked offshore candidates, others only for the 491, and reviewed entries showed a 65-point minimum. Check the list for your occupation before you register.
What did the 2025-26 final round show?
On 21 May 2026 SA issued 238 invitations (161 for the 190 and 77 for the 491), 2,853 across 2025-26 to that date. The table below is from that earlier round and shows how groups were treated, not what happens in 2026-27.

What does it tell you?
Some occupation groups were invited mainly for the 491 and others for the 190, so check which visa suits your occupation. SA noted that further activity might occur at year-end to use remaining places.
